We eat our words every day...


  • 900g lean minced beef
  • 1.25ml ground black pepper
  • 57g Valveeta cheese, cubed
  • 30ml milk
  • 29-44ml pickle relish
  • 30ml mustard
  • 44 ml ketchup
  • 1green bell pepper, chopped
  • 1small onion, chopped
  • 2 garlic cloves, put through press
  • sandwich buns
  • lettuce (optional)
  • tomatoes (optional)



In a large skillet over medium heat, brown ground beef with green pepper, onion and black pepper until beef is cooked through.

Drain off excess fat and transfer beef to slow cooker/crockpot

Add all other ingredients EXCEPT Burger buns, lettuce and tomato, cover and set to cook on low for 5 - 7 hours

Serve on toasted burger buns with lettuce and tomato or as you wish
